Event 15 (Day 1B): Peters Predicts A King

Level 8 (Blinds 250/500/50)
Total Day 1B Entries: 67
Day 1B Players Remaining: 30
Chip Average: 30,000

After a limp from Ravi Repole and Roy Adler, James Peters would bump it up from the button to 1,800.  Repole would make the call and with the action back to Adler, he would three-bet to 7,000.  Peters would four-bet to 20,000 (effectively enough to put it Adler), Repole would fold behind, and Adler would put in the rest of his chips:

Peters: K J♦          Adler: J♠ J♣

Runout: 8 K♠ 5♠ 4♣ K

Peters would call for a king just as the dealer was ready to fan out the flop, and James would get his wish.  Adler would be looking for a one-outer on the turn or river to steal the hand away, but he would brick out and be eliminated from Day 1B play.  With that pot Peters would chip up to 40,000, over (80) big blinds at the moment.
