Arnold Dinio
Live! Poker Room tournament regular Arnold Dinio definitely had the biggest rail at this final table, as handfuls of people were stopping and wishing him good luck.  After Wesley Wyvill opened the pot from the button, Joshua Gordon would continue applying pressure and shove all-in.  Arnold Dinio began to think about his hand, and after taking a few moments threw in a handful of chips, signifying a call:

Dinio: A♠ Q♣        Gordon: Q J♠

Flop: 7♣ 8 10

Turn: J

River: 4♠

Arnold ran into the buzz saw that is currently Joshua Gordon, and he would be eliminated in fourth place.

Event 1 (Day 2): Blinds Going Up/Updated Chip Counts

Level 30 (Blinds 40,000/80,000/10,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 4
Chip Avergae: 2,100,000

The blinds continue to increase, with players now posting 40,000/80,000/100 in Level 30.  The chip average of 2,100,000 is now just around 26 big blinds.  Here are the updated counts of those remaining:

  1. Joshua Gordon - 4,900,000
  2. Arnold Dinio - 950,000
  3. Corey Kennel - 1,200,000
  4. Wesley Wyvill - 1,300,000

Event 1 (Day 2): 5th Place - Narasimha ($6,774)

Level 29 (Blinds 30,000/60,000/10,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 4
Chip Avergae: 2,100,000

Lakshmi Narasimha
Lakshmi Narasimha was the shortest stack, and had only four big blinds in front of him.  The action would fold to him in the small blind and he would push, getting called by Arnold Dinio in the big blind:

Lakshmi: Q♣ J♠         Dinio: K♠ 5♠

Flop: 4♣ 2 K

Turn: 6

River: 3

Narasimha was another player who seemingly stayed under the radar, managing an average/below average stack the entire day.  He was able to double through Rudy Tjin last level, and jumped three pay spots before falling to Dinio.

Event 1 (Day 2): 6th Place - Marinovich ($5,433)

Level 29 (Blinds 30,000/60,000/5,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 5
Chip Average: 1,680,000

With action folding to Charles Welch, he would open shove for just under 500,000.  Doug Marinovich would be next to act, and he would shove as well (700,000).  The two seemed to be set for a heads up clash until Joshua Gordon made the call as well, putting both players at risk:

Welch: K K      Marinovich: K♠ K♣        Gordon: 9♣ 9♠

Flop: 6 A 9

Turn: 8

River: 10♣

Both players flipped up the pocket kings, and Josh just looked down saying, "I'm gonna win this one guys...sorry."  The nine was right in the window and both players were left to walk with the tournament supervisor to get paid.

Event 1 (Day 2): 7th Place - Welch ($4,163)

Level 29 (Blinds 30,000/60,000/5,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 5
Chip Average: 1,680,000

Charles Welch

Event 1 (Day 2): 8th Place - Tjin ($2,964)

Level 29 (Blinds 30,000/60,000/5,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 7
Chip Average: 1,200,000

Rudy Tjin
Rudy Tjin would actually double after losing that crucial pot to Corey Kennel, but he would then send a double to Lakshmi Narasimha (the only player shorter than him).  Tjin would this time be left with less than a big blind, and would be eliminated a few hands later.

Event 1 (Day 2): Blinds Increasing/Updated Chip Counts

Level 29 (Blinds 30,000/60,000/10,000)
Total Entries: 560

As the blinds shift, here is a look at the updated chip counts:

  1. Charles Welch - 650,000
  2. Rudy Tjin - 350,000
  3. Doug Marinovich - 600,000
  4. Joshua Gordon - 3,100,000
  5. Lakshmi Narasimha - 305,000
  6. Arnold Dinio - 1,300,000
  7. Corey Kennel - 800,000
  8. Wesley Wyvill - 1,100,000

Event 1 (Day 2): Tjin Left With Peanuts

Level 28 (Blinds 25,000/50,000/5,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 8
Chip Average: 1,050,000

Corey Kennel open shoved for 365,000 from middle position, and the action would fold to Rudy Tjin on the button.  After asking for a count, Rudy would re-shove for 505,000, drawing some thought from Josh Gordon in the big blind.  Gordon would eventually fold and it would be the A Q of Kennel against the Q Q of Tjin.  The flop of A A 4 would leave Tjin drawing dead, and while Kennel would chip up to 760,000,  Tjin would be left with two big blinds (100,000).

Event 1 (Day 2): Gordon Keeps Rolling

Level 28 (Blinds 25,000/50,000/5,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 8
Chip Average: 1,050,000

Josh Gordon would open the pot for 100,000 and get called by Lakshmi Narasimha and Doug Marinovich (big blind).  The flop would come out A J K and both players would check to Lakshmi, who would bet out 200,000.  Gordon would make the call, and he would check once more after the 8 not he turn.  Lakshmi would this time bet 250,000, to which Gordon would call once again.  After the 10 on the river, Gordon would step into action and bet enough to put Narasimha all-in.  Lakshmi would fold and Joshua would increase his chip lead.

Josh Gordon - 3,100,000
Lakshmi Marasimha - 400,000

Event 1 (Day 2): Back In Action

Level 28 (Blinds 25,000/50,000/5,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 8
Chip Average: 1,050,000

Players are back in their seats and the cards are in the air.  The action for the first ten minutes has been pretty slow, with a lot of raise and take it.  Wesley Wyvill was just all-in for just under 1,000,000, but the shove got through after a tank from Rudy Tjin.  Rudy said aloud that he folded pocket tens, and Wyvill showed the 10 as the cards went into the muck.

Event 1 (Day 2): Break Time/Updated Counts

Players are currently on a (15) minute break and will be returning to Level 28 and blinds of 25,000/50,000/5,000.  The chip average sits at 1,050,000 at the moment, so players at that mark are sitting with just over 20 big blinds.  Here are the updated final table chip counts:

  1. Charles Welch - 800,000
  2. Rudy Tjin - 650,000
  3. Doug Marinovich - 875,000
  4. Joshua Gordon - 2,550,000
  5. Lakshmi Narasimha - 725,000
  6. Arnold Dinio - 1,300,000
  7. Corey Kennel - 1,100,000

Event 1 (Day 2): 9th Place - Domyslawski ($2,117)

Level 27 (Blinds 20,000/40,000/5,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 8
Chip Average: 1,050,000

Joe Domyslawski
Joe Domyslawski was coasting, and had over 1,000,000 to start his final hand with Joshua Gordon.  The action leading up to the flop has not been verified, but Joe could be heard announcing all-in on a flop of 7 4♠ 2.  Gordon would verbalize a call, with the winner of this hand scooping up over 2,000,000:

Domyslawski: 8♣ 8♥       Gordon: Q♠ Q

Turn: A♣

River: K♠

Joe went with his over pair to the board on the flop, but Gordon had him crushed.  Domyslawski would need go runner straight or hit one of the two eights left in the deck.  The turn and river would be no help and the table would sit quiet, almost in shock as Joe collected his things and walked away.

Event 1 (Day 2): 10th Place - Sentz ($1,623)

Level 27 (Blinds 20,000/40,000/5,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 9
Chip Average: 933,000

Ryan Sentz
One the second hand of final table play, Ryan Sentz would be under the gun and announce, "All in...475,000."  The action would fold around to Doug Marinovich in late position, and he would announce himself all-in as well (having Sentz covered).  The action would fold around and the hands would be tabled:

Marinovich: K K♠        Sentz: A♣ J

Flop: 8 34

Turn: 4♣

River: J♣

Sentz would make a pair on the river, but it wouldn't be enough to continue on at the final table.  Sentz would be the first to depart from the final table, collecting $1,623.

Event 1 (Day 2): Event 1 Final Table

  2. Rudy Tjin
  3. Joe Domyslawski
  4. Doug Marinovich

Level 27 (Blinds 20,000/40,000/5,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 10
Chip Average: 840,000

An Hwang
Everyone at Table 38 was standing, and it was clear something big was going on.  There was a three-way all-in between An Hwang, Doug Marinovich, and Corey Kennel.  Doug had both players covered, but he held the same hand as Kennel.  Hwang was holding 10♣ 10♠ against the A K of both Marinovich and Kennel.

The table would be in a roar as the flop came out A♠ A♣ 3, leaving Hwang asking for a ten.  It was not to be, and the two players would chop up the short stack of An Hwang.  The players are now consolidating to the unofficial final table, and taking a five minute break.  The final table seating chart with chip counts will be posted shortly.

Event 1 (Day 2): Level Up Chip Updates

Event 1 (Day 2): 12th Place - Roinnel ($1,623)

Level 26 (Blinds 15,000/30,000/5,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 11
Chip Average: 783,000

David Roinnel
David Roinnel would take the vacant seat that Carmelo Alfonso just left, and it would take one hand for Roinnel to get involved.  After an open from Joshua Gordon in the cutoff, Roinnel shoved his short stack, and once the action folded around was called by Joshua:

Roinnel: 7 8         Gordon: 10♠ 10♣

Flop: Q♠ Q 3

Turn: A

River: 2♠

Roinnel needed some help in order to come from behind for his tournament life, but he would be drawing dead on the turn.  He would collect $1,623 for his 12th place finish.  The field is now one more elimination from the "unofficial" final table of ten.

Event 1 (Day 2): 13th Place - Alfonso ($1,270)

Level 26 (Blinds 15,000/30,000/5,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 12
Chip Average: 730,000

Carmelo Alfonso
Action at Table 39 would fold around to Carmelo Alfonso on the button, and he would shove for 210,000.  Joe Domyslawski was in the small blind, and he would look down at his cards and re-shove  (having Welch covered in the big blind).  Welch would fold and the hands would be tabled:

Alfonso: 10 10        Domyslawski: K K

Flop: J 2 8♣

Turn: 5♣

River: A

Alfonso was short my a good portion of the day, but he was able to grind a below average stack to 13th place and a payday of $1,270.

Event 1 (Day 2): Updated Chip Counts

Level 26 (Blinds 15,000/30,000/5,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 13
Chip Average: 646,000

Table 38:

  1. David Roinnel - 610,000
  2. Arnold Dinio - 620,000
  3. An Hwang - 700,0000
  4. Douglas Marinovich - 630,000
  5. Corey Kennel - 360,000
  6. Lakshmi Narasimha - 305,000
  7. Wesley Wyvill - 550,000
Table 39:

  5. Joshua Gordon - 510,000
  6. Carmilo Alfonso - 380,000

Event 1 (Day 2): 14th Place - Kang ($1,270)

Level 25 (Blinds 12,000/24,000/3,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 13
Chip Average: 646,000

Steven Kang
As updated chip counts were being collected, there would be and all-in and call over at Table 39.  Steven Kang was at risk, with Joe Domyslawski making the call for 370,000:

Kang: A 8♣
Domyslawski: A♠ Q♠

The dealer would fan out the flop of 2♣ J10, not exactly what Kang would need to come from behind.  The 5 on the turn would change nothing, leaving Kang looking for one of the three remaining eights in the deck.  The dealer would place the 4 on the river, and Steven would be eliminated short of the final table in 14th place ($1,270).

With that pot Domyslawski would chip back up to 1,650,000.

Event 1 (Day 2): Kang Eliminates Glasgow

Level 25 (Blinds 12,000/24,000/3,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 14
Chip Average: 578,000

After Steven Kang opened the button to 48,000, Adam Glasgow pushed his remaining chips across his cards (~180,000).  Kang would place chips across the line signifying a call, and the two players would table their hands:

Glasgow: A 9♣         Kang: 10♣ 10

Flop: 5 J 2♣

Turn: K

River: 7♣

Glasgow seemed to have a bad feeling right from the start, as he began to collect his things as the dealer started running out the board.  He'd be resigned to three outs going to the river, and after the 7♣ hit the felt, he'd be eliminated in 15th place ($1,270).

Event 1 (Day 2): Cards Back In The Air

Level 25 (Blinds 12,000/24,000/3,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 15
Chip Average: 560,000

The remaining 15 players have returned from dinner, and the cards are once again in the air.  The trophy has been unveiled, as this event will be running until its' conclusion.

Level 24 (Blinds 10,000/20,000/3,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 15
Chip Average: 560,000

Joshua Gordon
Giuseppe Serio would open the action under the gun to 55,000, and after two folds would be three-bet to 125,000 by Joshua Gordon.  The action would fold to John Pritchett in the big blind who was just left crippled after a recent pot, and he would shove his 29,000 towards the middle.  With the action back on Serio, he would make the call, leaving himself with only 40,000 behind.

The three players would go to the flop (with Pritchett all-in), with the dealer fanning out Q♠ K♠ 7.  Serio would push his remaining chips in, and the hands would be tabled:

Gordon: QJ
Serio: Q10
Pritchett: 10♣ 2

The turn would bring the 9, and the river 8♣ would seal the pot for Gordon, eliminating both Serio and Pritchett.  Gordon is now up to 1,100,000.

Event 1 (Day 2): Blinds Growing

Level 24 has just started, with the blinds increasing to 10,000/20,000/3,000.  The chip average amongst the remaining 17 players is 500,000 (30 big blinds).  At the conclusion of this level, the players will be going on a (45) minute dinner break, and the return to finish the tournament.

Event 1 (Day 2): Domyslwaski Continues On

Level 23 (Blinds 8,000/16,000/2,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 19
Chip Average: 450,000

The words "all-in" could be heard coming from the mouth of Ronnie Talhame approaching Table 51. The action would be back on Joe Domyslawski to decide if he wanted to call the 140,000 more.  Joe would make the call and immediately cringe when he saw Talhame turn over A♠ A.  Joe would flip over his A K, and the two would go to the flop.

The dealer would fan out the flop of 8 10 Q♠, and the table immediately reacted, like they knew Joe was going to win the hand.  There would be little waiting as the dealer would place the J♣ on the turn, leaving Talhame drawing to a chop, which he would brick on the river.  Domyslawski continues his torrid run, and now sits with just over 1,700,000.

Event 1 (Day 2): "Nice Hand" Trick Works For Welch

Level 23 (Blinds 8,000/16,000/2,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 21
Chip Average: 400,000

Daniel Sussman would open the pot under the gun to 35,000, and the action would then fold around to Charles Welch.  Charles would put in a three bet to 77,000, and after the button and blinds folded, Sussman would throw in his remaining chips (just over 80,000).  Welch would call the extra chips and the two hands would be turned over.  It was a race as Welch held A K against the 5♣ 5♠ of Sussman, with another player at the table telling Welch he folded an ace.  The flop would run out 6♣ 4 9, and after the 8♠ on the turn, Welch would look to Sussman and say "Nice hand."  Just as Welch could get the words out of his mouth the K♠ hit the river, sending Sussman home in 22nd place ($917).

Welch would chip up to 360,000 with that pot, but is still below the chip average of 400,000.

Event 1 (Day 2): Domyslawski Running Away

Level 22 (Blinds 6,000/12,000/2,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 23
Chip Average: 365,000

Domyslawski Has Piles
In Min would call an open from Joe Domyslawski (button), and the two would see a flop of 10♠ 4♣ 6♠.  Min would check and watch as Joe put out a bet of 55,000.  After some thought, Min would announce himself all-in for a total of 258,000.  Domyslwaski would confirm how more he needed to make the call, and push the chips across his cards:

Min: 9♠ 3♠
Joe: 7 7♣

It was a huge call for Joe, but he'd have to fade both the turn and river.  The 8 on the turn would change nothing, and when the 5♣ hit the river, Min would be eliminated. Domyslwaski now sits with over 1,400,000 in front of him, far and beyond the biggest stack of the remaining players.

Event 1 (Day 2): Final Three Tables

Level 22 (Blinds 6,000/12,000/2,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 27
Chip Average: 311,111

Only eight minutes elapsed off the clock since returning from break, and the field has already been taken down to 27 players.  The clock has been paused and the tournament supervisors are now redrawing the remaining players.  Once those players find their new seats and get settled, a post with table/seating assignment will be posted.

Event 1 (Day 2): Break Time Chip Counts

Joe Domyslawski
Players are going on a (15) minute break, and when they return to Level 22 the blinds will have gone up to 6,000/12,000/2,000.  Joseph Domyslawski is the new chip leader in amongst those remaining, sitting with just over 700,000.  Here are some updated counts as players head to break:

Joe Domyslawski - 705,000
Ryan Sentz - 450,000
Corey Kennel - 440,000
John Pritchett - 430,000
Zack Patterson - 420,000
Steven Kang - 375,000

After losing a huge pot to Wesley Wyvill, David Vu would left with less than 10 big blinds.  He was just eliminated moments before break by Charles Welch, as his A 8♣ < A♣ Q♣ of Charles.

Event 1 (Day 2): 37th-45th Places ($635)

Level 21 (Blinds 5,000/10,000/1,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 34
Chip Average: 247,000

The following players have cashed in Event 1 for $635:

37. Gary Schoengold (Olney, MD)
38. Francis Mohan (Teaneck, NJ)
39. Song Ki (South Riding, VA)
40. Will Cordle (Crozet, VA)

42. Venkata Emani (Columbia, MD)
43. Marc Cohen (Rockville, MD)
44. Denis Angelov (Rockville, MD)
45. James Tharp (Jacksonville, NC)

Event 1 (Day 2): "In" It To Win It

Level 21 (Blinds 5,000/10,000/1,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 36
Chip Average: 235,000

In Min would open the pot from the button to 22,000, and after a fold from the small blind, Gary Schoengold would push for a total of 65,000.  Min would think for a few moments while shuffling his chips, but would stack the amount for a call and push it across his cards.  The two hands would be tabled and it would be the A♠ J of Schoengold versus the A♣ 8♣ of Min.

The flop of 2♠ K 6♣ would seem fairly safe for Gary, but the table would start chirping when the 7♣ came on the turn.  The dealer would expose the 4♣ on the river, and Min would go runner-runner flush, coming from behind and sending home Gary just short of the pay jump.  Schoengold will collect $635 for his 37th place finish, with the next eight players to be eliminated receiving $776.

In Min - 340,000
Gary Schoengold - 37th Place ($635)

Event 1 (Day 2): King Kang

Level 20 (Blinds 4,000/8,000/1,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 40
Chip Average: 210,000

Steven Kang
Venkata Emani (Columbia, MD) would shove his remaining 67,000 towards the middle in late position, with Steven Kang flatting behind.  The action would fold behind, and Emani would be at risk:

Emani: A 10♣
Kang: AK

The flop would run out Q♣ 2♠ 5, bring little hope for Venakata.  He would go from three to four outs after the K♠ on the turn, but the board would pair with another king on the river, sending Emani home in 41st place ($635).

With that pot Steven would chip up to 400,000, almost double the chip average.

Event 1 (Day 2): Updated Chip Counts

Level 20 (Blinds 4,000/8,000/1,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 42
Chip Average: 200,000

The chip average throughout the day has been a consistent 25-30 big blinds, with a number of players double that number at the moment.  The flurry of bustouts since reaching the money has slowed down, and here are some updated counts from the field:

Corey Kennel - 530,000
David Vu - 500,000
Charles Welch - 375,000
Arnold Dinio - 370,000
An-Ming Hwang - 360,000
Adam Glasgow - 340,000

Event 1 (Day 2): 46th-54th Places ($565)

Level 20 (Blinds 4,000/8,000/1,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 45
Chip Average: 187,000

The following players have cashed in Event 1 for $565:

46. Robert Marquette (York, PA)
47. Christopher Kojack (Glen Burnie, MD)
48. Christopher Mattocks (Columbia, MD)
49. Matthew Buchman (Woodstock, MD)
50. Duane Knab (Kill Devil Hills, NC)
51. Michael Dorsch (Pittsburg, VA)
52. John McGowan (Dunkirk, MD)
53. Kyung Yoon (Centreville, MD)
54. Benjamin Strickland (Stafford, VA)
54. Vichien Siprajim (Pasdena, MD)

Event 1 (Day 2): In The Money!!!

Level 19 (Blinds 3,000/6,000/1,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 53

On the eighth hand of hand-for-hand play, the field would reach the money.  Benjamin Strickland open shoved his remaining 60,000, and the action would fold around to An-Ming Hwang who would announce a call.  The two hands would be tabled as players from outer tables peered over to see the result:

Hwang: K K♣       Strickland: A♠ K♠

Flop: 3 6♣ 8

Turn: K

River: 10♣

Strickland would ask his table mates what Hwang's holdings were as he couldn't see across the table, and he wasn't happy to find out the news.  His hopes were still alive to hit one of the three live aces after the flop, but the turn would have Ben drawing dead, and the field would be in the money.

At an outer table, Vichen Siprajim would be eliminated as well, which means that both Strickland and Siprajim would split the 54th place money.

Event 1 (Day 2): Hand For Hand

Level 19 (Blinds 3,000/6,000/1,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 55

The tournament clock has been paused as there are now 55 players remaining in the field.  The action of the most recent busts has not been confirmed, but Ray Shackelford was the player eliminated in 56th place (two short of the money).  The clock will remain paused throughout hand-for-hand play, and once the bubble is burst, (2) minutes will be taken off the clock for every hand played.

Event 1 (Day 2): Glasgow Sends Two Packing

Level 19 (Blinds 3,000/6,000/1,000)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 57

Adam Glasgow
There would be a handful of players standing at Table 38, and approaching the table there would be a three-way all-in pre.  The hands would be tabled, with Adam Glasgow sitting in solid shape:

Glasgow: A♠ A       Phil Hall: J J♣     Rumbaugh: A♣ K♠

Flop: 3♣ 9♣ 4

Turn: Q

River: 2

Adam would have both players covered, and with the pot would chip up to 230,000.  The field is now one elimination from hand-for-hand play.

Event 1 (Day 2): Coloring Off

The tournament supervisors are currently coloring off the black (100) and purple (500) chips from all of the tables, and action will begin shortly.  There are currently 59 players remaining, with players likely entering the money bubble during this next level.  Players will go hand-for-hand once 56 players remain, with normal play resuming once the bubble bursts.

Event 1 (Day 2): Vu's Got Heart

Level 18 (Blinds 2,500/5,000/500)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 60

The action at Table 39 would be picked up just as Linh Huang was pushing all-in on a flop of 7 Q 4♠, and David Vu was announcing a call.  The two hands would be tabled and Linh would be at risk:

Huang: K K         Vu: 2 3

Turn: 7♣

River: 5

Linh would have the lead when the chips got in, and after the turn she would be a substantial favorite.   Unfortunately for Huang, Vu would find his river heart and Linh would sit and stare at the board as the dealer pushed her chips David's way.

Players are about to go on their first break of the day, and when they return to Level 19 the blinds will  have gone up to 3,000/6,000/1,000 (140,000 chip average).

Event 1 (Day 2): Ono Takes Field Closer To The Money

Level 18 (Blinds 2,500/5,000/500)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 61

Oleksander Onufriychuk
Oleksander "Ono" Onufriychuk knocks out a short stacked John Creed to bring the total players remaining to 61.  The field is now seven eliminations from the money, with hand-for-hand play right around the corner.

Ono came into the day with 179,400, and since starting the day (and busting Creed), he is now up to 240,000.  The min-cash for those fortunate enough to make it is $565.  Of the four women to start Day 2, three still remain in the hunt, with Lisa Hong having been eliminated during the first level of play.

Event 1 (Day 2): Level Up Chip Updates

Level 18 (2,500/5,000/500)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 67

Corey Kennel
The money bubble is quickly approaching, and the field has a new chip leader...Corey Kennel.  Corey was spotted racking up heaps of black chips, and with those were mountains of big chips as well.  Kennel has 435,000 at the moment, almost 130,000 more than his nearest competitor.  Here are some updated chip counts from the end of Level 17:

Corey Kennel - 435,000
David Vu - 300,000
Cythia Albert - 250,000
Arnold Dinio - 240,000
Sophia Pappas - 230,000
Charles Welch - 230,000
Adam Glasgow - 220,000
In Min - 205,000
Matthew Buchman - 200,000

Event 1 (Day 2): Pappas Picks One Off

Level 17 (Blinds 2,000/4,000/500)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 72

Sophia Pappas
Sophia Pappas and Cynthia Albert were two of the leading ladies in the Day 2 field, and Pappas just got a little bit healthier.  Approaching Table 52, Jay Neptune would have a bet of 30,000 in front of him, with the action on Sophia.  She would look over Neptune's way, and announce herself all-in, having Jay covered.  Neptune would take both hands and push his remaining chips past his cards, and the two would table their hands:

Pappas: J♣ J♠         Neptune: 9 9♠

Runout: 2♣ 6♠ K♣ 6 10♠

The runout would stay clean for Sophia, and she would chip up to 255,000 with that pot.

Event 1 (Day 2): Breaking Bad

Level 17 (Blinds 2,000/4,000/500)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 74

Vu and Welch Neighbors
The first table to break this afternoon was Table 44, with the players from that table finding new homes.  Charles Welch (Day 1C chip leader) has just been moved to Table 39, sitting next to David Vu's direct left.  Vu was the Day 1A chip leader, and the two have the largest stacks of the remaining field.

With the Table 39 housing the eventual final table, the two players can begin getting comfortable.  The big stacks will usually try to exploit those players that are short, but with this pairing next to each other, it will be interesting to see how things play out.

Event 1 (Day 2): Gray's Quick Start/First Handful Gone

Level 17 (Blinds 2,000/4,000/500)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 79

Robery Gray
Robert Gray would double his Day 2 starting stack, as he eliminates table mate Ron Hunt.  Although Hunt's hand was already in the muck, it would evident that Gray won the hand with 5♣ 5 on a board of 10 5♠ Q 7♠ 8♠.  With that pot Robert would chip up to 155,000 (59 big blinds).

Here are the first handful of players to be eliminated from Day 2 play:

Ron Hunt
Adam White
Noel Underwood
Paul Connor
Joseph Monterano
Brandon Basilio

Event 1 (Day 2): Getting Settled

Level 17 (Blinds 2,000/4,000/500)
Total Entries: 560
Players Remaining: 85

Players are currently removing their chips from their Day 1 bags, and the cards will be in the air shortly.  The field is coming back only a few hours away from the money bubble, with 54 players getting paid in this event.  There looks to be only a short delay before the Day 2 action begins, as seating is verified by both dealers and tournament supervisors.

Event 1 (Day 2): Day 2 Numbers Game

The three starting flights for Event 1 of the Live! Summer Series Of Poker drew a combined total of 560 entries, with 85 players bagging chips for today's Day 2.  Those players will be returning at 12:15pm this afternoon, ready to play out the tournament to it's conclusion.  Here is a breakdown of the pertinent Day 2 numbers:
