Level 20 (Blinds 4,000/8,000/1,000)
Players Remaining: 3
Chip Average: 840,000

Drake Bronk (Roscoe, IL)
The three remaining players took a moment to pause the clock and discuss a chop.  The ICM calculator was brought out, and the numbers were agreed upon as such:

Benjamin Sears - $22,684

Benjamin Sears (Micco, FL)

Event 14 (Day 2): 4th Place - Serio ($10,082)

Level 20 (Blinds 4,000/8,000/1,000)
Players Remaining: 3
Chip Average: 840,000

Giuseppe Serio (Pasadena, MD)
The first hand coming back from break seems to be an action spot, as Giuseppe Serio opens to 25,000.  Drake Bronk would look down at his cards and announce a three-bet to 80,000.  The action would fold back to Serio would would four-bet all-in, and Bronk would call the 50,000 more:

Serio: A Q♣
Bronk: J♠ J

Runout: K 6 4♣ 5 6

Bronk would continue his trend of winning races, and Serio would be eliminated in fourth place.  The remaining players have paused the clock to discuss as chop, and that outcome will be posted shortly.

Event 14 (Day 2): Break Time/Chip Counts

Players are going on a (15) minute break, and when they return to Level 20, the blinds will have increased to 4,000/8,000/1,000.  Here are the four handed chip counts:

  1. Benjamin Sears - 600,000
  2. Giuseppe Serio - 126,000
  3. Drake Bronk - 1,100,000
  4. Christopher Grove - 700,000

Event 14 (Day 2): 5th Place - Bucci ($8,012)

Level 19 (Blinds 3,000/6,000/500)
Players Remaining: 4
Chip Average: 630,000

James Bucci (Hollywood, MD)
After an open UTG from James Bucci, Drake Bronk would make the call and the two would see a flop of J♣ 5♣ 5.  Bucci would throw out a bet of 25,000 and Bronk would immediately put out a stack big enough to put James all-in.  Bucci would make the call and the hands would be tabled:

Bucci: A♠ A♣
Bronk: K♠ J♠

Turn: J

River: 8♣

Bucci would say to Bronk when they chips got in, "King is going to be no good, you need a jack."  And without waiting the dealer would put a jack on the turn, eliminating the Maryland poker legend.

Event 14 (Day 2): Slowing Down

Level 19 (Blinds 3,000/6,000/500)
Players Remaining: 5
Chip Average: 504

With the difference between fifth and third place over $6,000, and two stacks hovering around (20) big blinds, the action has slowed down considerably.  Players will be going on a (15) minute break at the end of this level (in twenty minutes), and once they leave for break an updated chip count will be posted for those remaining.

Event 14 (Day 2): Five Handed Chip Counts

Level 19 (Blinds 3,000/6,000/500)
Players Remaining: 5
Chip Average: 504,000

Here are the up to the moment counts from the final table:

  1. Benjamin Sears - 395,000
  2. James Bucci - 230,000
  3. Giuseppe Serio - 125,000
  4. Drake Bronk - 900,000
  5. Christopher Grove - 890,000

Event 14 (Day 2): 6th Place - Bonacci ($6,232)

Level 18 (Blinds 2,500/5,000/500)
Players Remaining: 5
Chip Average: 504,000

Frank Bonacci (Pittsburgh, PA)
Frank Bonacci's final hand was basically a formality, and it wasn't even much of a sweat when Christopher Grove flopped the nut straight, basically leaving Frank drawing dead.  The hand that would be critical to Frank's day was losing KK to the AQ of James Bucci.

Bonacci is another professional player recording his first cash at the Live! Poker Room, and he will add the $6,232 to his career earnings of $163,000.

The five players are now posting blinds of 3,000/6,000/500 as Level 19 just started.

Event 14 (Day 2): 7th Place - Chinni ($5,045)

Level 18 (Blinds 2,500/5,000/500)
Players Remaining: 6
Chip Average: 420,000

Jesse Chinni (Ellicott City, MD)
The betting leading up to the all-in has not yet been verified, but Jesse Chinni and Drake Bronk got the chips in pre-flop, with Chinni holding a commanding lead:

Chinni: Jx Jx        Bronk: 9x 9x

Flop: 8x 4x 2x

Turn: 9x

River: Ax

Drake Bronk continues to run well as he spikes a two-outer on the turn to eliminate the most accomplished player left at the table.  Chinni will add the $5,045 to his career earnings of $716,000, and record his first cash here at Maryland Live!.

Event 14 (Day 2): Bonacci Left Super Short

Level 18 (Blinds 2,500/5,000/500)
Players Remaining: 7
Chip Average: 360,000

Frank Bonacci is now sitting with only (4) big blinds in front of him after shipping over a double to James Bucci.  The two players would be all-in pre and the hands would be tabled:

Bucci: A K♣         Bonacci: K K

Runout: 4 5 A 10♣ 8

Bucci's stack would get counted down, and his total would be 144,000 for Frank to call.  After sending those chips James's way (giving him over 300,000), Bonacci would be left with just over 20,000.

Event 14 (Day 2): Serio Gets A Double

Level 18 (Blinds 2,500/5,000/500)
Players Remaining: 7
Chip Average: 360,000

Giuseppe Serio was one of the shorts stacks remaining, and after an open to 15,000 UTG from James Bucci, Serio would three-bet shove.  The action would fold fairly quickly around to Bucci, and he would ask for a count before heading into the tank.  It would be a total of 74,000 to call, and James would assess his own stack before eventually making the call:

Bucci: A♣ Q♣        Serio: K K

Runout: 2Q♠ 8♠ J♠ 10♠

Nobody would hold any spades in their hand, so Serio's pair of kings would hold and Giuseppe would double to 155,000.

Giuseppe Serio - 155,000
James Bucci - 130,000

Event 14 (Day 2): 8th Place - Calvo ($3,858)

Level 18 (Blinds 2,500/5,000/500)
Players Remaining: 7
Chip Average: 360,000

Peter Calvo (Edgewater, MD)
The action leading up to Peter Calvo's elimination has not yet been verified, but walking up to the table, the dealer would be counting down Christopher Grove's stack to see if Peter was covered.  The board and hands were still tabled:

Grove: 9♣ 9
Calvo: 3♣ 3♠

Board: 4 9♠ 3 5 A

Peter would be on the wrong end of set-over-set, and he would be the second player lost this level.  With that pot Christopher Grove is at 720,000, assuming the chip lead.

Event 14 (Day 2): Sears Chipping Up

Level 18 (Blinds 2,500/5,000/500)
Players Remaining: 8
Chip Average: 315,000

The action would start with Drake Bronk opening the pot to 10,000, with both Jesse Chinni and Benjamin Sears (button) making the call.  The dealer would fan out a flop of 10♣ 6♠ 9, and after Drake checked, Chinni put out a bet of 17,000.  Sears would make the call, with Drake folding behind, and the two players would see the 9♠ on the turn.  Chinni would lead out for 30,000, and after a few moments get raised by Benjamin to 77,000.  Jesse would make the call and the dealer would put out the J on the river.  Chinni would check this time, and sit in thought after a bet of 90,000 from Sears.  Jesse would casually toss his cards towards the muck, and Sears would pick up the pot worth over 200,000.

Benjamin Sears - 480,000
Jesse Chinni - 180,000

Event 14 (Day 2): 9th Place - Castaldo ($2,671)

Level 18 (Blinds 2,500/5,000/500)
Players Remaining: 8
Chip Average: 315,000

Mark Castaldo (Fairfax, VA)
It only took one hand back from break for Mark Castaldo to get his chips in the middle, pushing UTG+1.  The action would fold around to Drake Bronk in the small blind, who would iso-shove and watch as Chinni folded.  The two players would then table their hands:

Castaldo: K K♠
Bronk: A♠ A♣

Runout: 10 3♠ 9 3♣ 8

Castaldo ran into the one hand he didn't want to see, and his day would end with an eight place finish.  Bronk would ecipse 600,000 with that pot, and is adding some room between himself and his nearest competitor.

Event 14 (Day 2): Back From Dinner

Level 18 (Blinds 2,500/5,000/500)
Players Remaining: 9
Chip Average: 280,000

Players are once again taking their seats, and they are ready to play out this tournament to a winner.  After what has been the definition of a roller coaster day, Drake Bronk comes back from dinner the same way he came into Day 2...top of the group.  He is currently sitting with 107 big blinds in front of him, with Mark Castaldo the short stack with 16 big blinds.

Event 14 (Day 2): Dinner Break

The remaining nine players are headed on a (45) minute dinner break, and are set to return to action at 7:55pm.  When the players return to Level 18, the blinds will have increased to 2,500/5,000/500.  Here are the counts as players head to dinner:

  1. Benjamin Sears - 370,000
  2. James Bucci - 125,000
  3. Giuseppe Serio - 165,000
  4. Peter Calvo - 430,000
  5. Drake Bronk - 535,000
  6. Jesse Chinni - 280,000
  7. Mark Castaldo - 88,000
  8. Frank Bonacci - 190,000
  9. Christopher Grove - 360,000

Event 14 (Day 2): 10th Place - Woods ($2,077)

Level 17 (Blinds 2,000/4,000/500)
Players Remaining: 9
Chip Average: 280,000 (70 big blinds)

Brian Woods (Lutherville, MD)
After losing a critical pot earlier where he doubled up Frank Bonacci (AQ < 10 10), Brian Woods would be left super short going into the final table.  With only (11) big blinds, Woods would shoved UTG for 47,100.  Action would fold to James Bucci in middle position, who would re-shove for 76,000.  The action would fold around and the players hands would be tabled:

Woods: 6 6        Bucci: K♠ K♣

Runout: 7♣ 4♣ 10 J9♣

Woods would need help to come from behind, and the runout didn't bring much hope.  Woods would be the first eliminated from the final table, adding to his career earnings of over $179,000.

Players have (7) minutes before the go on a (45) minutes dinner break.

Event 14 (Day 2): Event 14 Final Table (Updated Chip Counts)

Level 17 (Blinds 2,000/4,000/500)
Players Remaining: 10
Chip Average: 252,000

Here is the final table for Event 14:

  1. Benjamin Sears - 430,000
  2. James Bucci - 81,000
  3. Giuseppe Serio - 130,000
  4. Peter Calvo - 385,000
  5. Drake Bronk - 520,000
  6. Jesse Chinni - 305,000
  7. Mark Castaldo - 140,000
  8. Frank Bonacci - 190,000
  9. Brian Woods - 40,000
  10. Christopher Grove - 285,000

Event 14 (Day 2): 11th Place - Little ($2,077)

Level 17 (Blinds 2,000/4,000/500)
Players Remaining: 11
Chip Average: 230,000

Tim Little (Cheverly, MD)
While the post of Peters bust out was being published, the field also lost Tim Little (Cheverly, MD) in 12th place.  Little five-bet shoved J J into the Q Q of Peter Calvo, and after Calvo turned a queen, Little would be drawing dead.

This is Little's second cash of the series, chopping the $150 Hyper Turbo earlier in the week for $1,397.

Players are now redrawing for the final table, and an updated post with seat/chip counts will be posted shortly.

Event 14 (Day 2): 12th Place - Peters ($2,077)

Level 17 (Blinds 2,000/4,000/500)
Players Remaining: 12
Chip Average: 210,000

At one point it would look as if James Peters would be cruising to the final table, sitting with over 335,000 the last time the chip counts were updated.  After losing a critical pot to Drake Bronk, Peters would be all-in and at risk (pre-flop) against Peter Calvo:

Calvo: A♠ 6♣           Peters: A♣ 8♠

Flop: A 8♠ K♣

Turn: 10♠

River: 6

Peters would storm away from the table the moment after the six hit the river, not even recognizing the calls of the players telling him that he's supposed to get paid.  It's not known if Peters still thought play was on the bubble, or if he just wanted to blow off some steam away from the tables.

Event 14 (Day 2): Barber Bubbles

Level 17 (Blinds 2,000/4,000/500)
Players Remaining: 12
Chip Average: 210,000

Eric Barber has jokingly mentioned earlier in the day that he was going to bubble this event, and the talk continued as a friend of his stopped by the table every 15-20 to see how he was doing.  After an open from Drake Bronk, Barber would three-bet shove from the big blind, and Bronk would make the call (with Eric at risk):

Bronk: A Q       Barber: A 3

Flop: 8x 2x 7x

Turn: Jx

River: Qx

Barber's premonition would come true, and the remaining players are now all in the money.  The min cash for this event is $2,077.

Event 14 (Day 2): On The Bubble

Level 16 (Blinds 1,500/3,000/400)
Players Remaining: 13
Chip Average: 193,000

Mark Castaldo has grinded a short stack for most of the day today, but has just moved above average after eliminating Duane Mitchell two from the money.  Castaldo had just picked up a pot from Frank Bonacci, when his shove saw no resistance from Frank.  The chips weren't even stacked before he'd get it all-in (pre-flop) with Duane Mitchell (players were within 15,000 of each other):

Mitchell: K K       Castaldo: AK♣

Flop: A JQ♠

Turn: 5♣

River: 7

Castaldo chips up to 220,000 with that pot, and players are now hand for hand.  Giuseppe Serio is under (10) big blinds and the moment, but James Bucci and Tim Little also have stacks half of the average.

Event 14 (Day 2): Mitchell Short No More

Level 16 (Blinds 1,500/3,000/400)
Players Remaining: 14
Chip Average: 180,000

Duane Mitchell was one of the shortest stacks remaining, and he was able to get one shove through to pick up the blinds and antes.  Only a few hands later he would open the pot UTG+1 to 7,000, and get calls from both of the blinds (Chinni and Woods).  The flop would come out 9 4 3, and both blinds would check to Mitchell.  Duane would put together his chips and push them towards the middle, with Chinni re-shoving next to act.  Woods would fold behind and Mitchell would be at risk of bubbling:

Mitchell: 6 6          Chinni: Q J

Flop: 9 4 3

Turn: 2

River: 5♠

Mitchell would fade all of Chinni's outs and double to 124,000, which although is still under average, but takes him out of the danger zone.

Event 14 (Day 2): Eguren Can't Last

Level 16 (Blinds 1,500/3,000/400)
Players Remaining: 14
Chip Average: 180,000 (60 big blinds)

Although the hand history isn't clear at the moment, one thing that is for sure is that Matthew Eguren is no longer active in the field.  With one more elimination the players will be in hand for hand play, with the three shortest stacks at the moment belonging to:

Mark Castaldo - 70,000
Duane Mitchell - 58,000
Giuseppe Serio - 47,000

Event 14 (Day 2): Eguren Doubles Up

Level 16 (Blinds 1,500/3,000/4,000)
Players Remaining: 15
Chip Average: 168,000

On the first hand back from break, Christopher Grove would open the pot for 6,200 UTG, with action folding around to Matthew Eguren in the big blind.  Matthew would think for a few moments before going all-in, with Grove asking for a count.  It was 31,000 more for Grove to make the call, and he would throw some chips in for just that:

Erugen: AK♣        Grove: Q♣ J

Runout: 5 3♣ 10♠ 3 6♣

Eguren would double to 70,000, which no longer makes him the shortest stacked player of the remaining field.

Event 14 (Day 2): Break/Updated Chip Counts

Players are heading on their second break of the day, and they will return to Level 16 and blinds of 1,500/3,000/400.  Here are the updated chip counts as players head to break:

Table 29:

  1. James Peters - 415,000
  2. Peter Calvo - 140,000
  3. Drake Bronk - 63,000

  5. James Bucci - 110,000
  6. Benjamin Sears - 480,000
  7. Tim Little - 180,000
  8. Eric Barber - 86,000
Table 30:
  1. Frank Bonacci - 205,000
  2. Duane Mitchell - 42,000
  3. Matthew Eguren - 35,000
  4. Mark Castaldo - 81,000
  5. Christopher Grove - 160,000
  6. Jesse Chinni - 145,000
  7. Brian Woods - 130,000

Event 14 (Day 2): Sloat Exits Short Of Money

Level 15 (Blinds 1,200/2,400/300)
Players Remaining: 15
Chip Average: 168,000

Frank Bonacci would open the action at Table 30 to 5,000 UTG, and after Duane Mitchell folded, James Sloat three-bet shoved for 36,000.  The players would quickly fold behind, and Frank would make the call after asking for an approximate count:

Bonacci: Q♣ Q          Sloat: K♠ Q

Flop: 6 4 4♣

Turn: 2

River: 3

James was looking for his fourth cash of this series alone, but his day ends just short of the money.  Bonacci chips up to 205,000 with that pot, and players will now finish the final (10) minutes of this level before heading on a (15) minute break.

Event 14 (Day 2): Payouts Reminder

Level 15 (Blinds 1,200/2,400/300)
Players Remaining: 16
Chip Average: 157,000

With the field less than a handful of spots away from the money, a reminder of what everyone is playing for would be in order:

Payouts:

  1. $39,170
  2. $22,552
  3. $14,837
  4. $10,089
  5. $8,012
  6. $6,232
  7. $5,045
  8. $3,858
  9. $2,671
10-13. $2,077

Event 14 (Day 2): Castaldo Picks Up Needed Chips

Level 15 (Blinds 1,200/2,400/300)
Players Remaining: 17
Chip Average: 148,000

Mark Castaldo started the hand with one of the shortest stacks in the field, sitting with just under 50,000.  He would open the pot UTG to 5,000 and get called in four spots (Peters, Chinni, Sloat, and Eguren).  They five players would see the dealer fan out a flop of 10 9 6, and after the blinds checked, Castaldo put out a bet of 15,000.  The action would all fold behind and Mark would pick up a well needed pot, chipping up to 80,000 with the win.

Two more players have been eliminated from Day 2 play (Ray Shackelford and Matthew Brunskole), leaving the field only four bust outs from the money.

Event 14 (Day 2): Redraw With Updated Counts

Level 15 (Blinds 1,200/2,400/300)
Players Remaining: 18
Chip Average: 140,000

Here are the final two tables, with all of the pertinent information included:

Table 29:

  1. Ray Shackelford - 48,000
  2. Matthew Brunskole - 58,000
  3. Peter Calvo - 125,000
  4. Drake Bronk - 95,000
  5. Giuseppe Serio - 174,000
  6. James Bucci - 135,000
  7. Benjamin Sears - 405,000
  8. Tim Little - 155,000
  9. Eric Barber - 98,000
Table 30:
  1. Frank Bonacci - 148,000
  2. Duane Mitchell - 60,000
  3. James Sloat - 93,000
  4. Matthew Eguren - 75,000
  5. Mark Castaldo - 48,000
  6. Christopher Grove - 170,000
  7. James Peters - 368,000
  8. Jesse Chinni - 139,000
  9. Brian Woods - 136,000

Event 14 (Day 2): Redrawing Once More

Level 15 (Blinds 1,200/2,400/300)
Players Remaining: 18
Chip Average: 140,000

The clock is now paused, only one minute into the new level, as Nicholas Immekus is eliminated (AQ < AA).  The players are receiving new seat cards, and the lineup/chip counts will be posted momentarily.

Event 14 (Day 2): Franklin's Unfortunate River

Level 14 (Blinds 1,000/2,000/300)
Players Remaining: 20
Chip Average: 126,000

While publishing the most recent post, there would be an all-in and a call over at Table 28.  The hand was between Andrew Franklin and Brian Woods, with the two getting the chips in on the turn.  The board would read Qx 4x 6x Kx, and Woods would be the player at risk.  Franklin would be holding the lead with Kx Qx (turned top two) against the Ax Kx of Woods.  The river Ax would change everything however, doubling Woods up to 150,000, while Franklin would be left with 6,000.

About three hands later Franklin would be eliminated, leaving the field one bustout away from another redraw.

Event 14 (Day 2): Another Redraw Looming

Level 14 (Blinds 1,000/2,000/300)
Players Remaining: 21
Chip Average: 120,000 (60 big blinds)

The field has quickly lost two more players, as Ian Davis and Phong Nguyen are eliminated from Table 29.  The players will be redrawing once more when (18) remain, and once the new lineups are set, a full list of seating assignments and chip counts will be posted.

As this post was being published, Rafael Saadah came over to the media table to inform that he was eliminated as well seconds ago.  The field is now down to (20) players, and only two eliminations from finding new seats.

Event 14 (Day 2): Action About At Table 29

Level 14 (Blinds 1,000/2,000/300)
Players Remaining: 23
Chip Average: 109,000

The action filled hands have been one after the other at Table 29, so a quick recap of the action is in order:

- Giuseppe Serio would double through Drake Bronk as his A A♠ bests Bronk's 9♠ 9, chipping up to 90,000 after the JQ♣ 7 2♠ 8 runout.  Bronk would be left with just over 26,000.

- Bronk would then double through Rafael Saadah (all-in pre), as his 10 10♠ dominates Rafael's 3♣ 3 on a runout of 4♠ K♣ K 4♣ 10♣.  Rafael would still be alive after doubling Bronk to 59,000, but he'd be left with less than five blinds.

Event 14 (Day 2): Playing Short

Level 14 (Blinds 1,000/2,000/300)
Players Remaining: 23
Chip Average: 109,000

At the moment there are three players who are in the danger zone, sitting with less than (20) big blinds.  With any skips in the structure and hour long levels, the situation is not as dire, but here are the players and counts:

Ray Shackelford - 38,000 (19 big blinds)
Rafael Saadah - 24,000 (12 big blinds)
Phong Nguyen - 18,000 (9 big blinds)

Event 14 (Day 2): Chinni Fades To Win

Level 14 (Blinds 1,000/2,000/300)
Players Remaining: 23
Chip Average: 109,000

Jessi Chinni would open the action at Table 29 with a min-raise to 4,000.  Action would fold around to Rafael Saadah in the small blind, and he'd be the only player to come along.  The dealer would fan out a flop of 6♣ 5♠ 3♣, and Rafael would check to Chinni.  Jesse would put out a bet of 6,000, with Saadah check raising to 12,000.  Chinni would follow with a three-bet to 27,000, and Rafael wouldn't take much time before announcing himself all-in.  Jesse would make the call and he'd be the player at risk:

Chinni: K♠ K          Saadah: K♣ Q♣

Flop: 6♣ 5♠ 3♣

Turn: 8

River: 9

Jesse would fade Saadah's club outs and win the pot worth 160,000.  After absorbing the loss in that hand, Rafael is left with 30,000 (15 big blinds).

Event 14 (Day 2): Harder Eliminated By Peters

Level 13 (Blinds 800/1,600/200)
Players Remaining: 27
Chip Average: 93,000

At Table 29, James Peters would open the action from the button with a raise.  After Benjamin Sears folded the small blind, Christian Harder would three-bet out of the big to 11,700.  Peters would ask what Harder had behind, and after getting an idea, would make the call.  The dealer would fan out a flop of 8 6 2, and Harder would lead for 12,000.  Peters would quickly announce himself all-in, and Harder would take a moment before tossing the chips in for a call.  Christian's 10 10♣ would be well behind the 6♣ 6♠ of Peters after the flop (flopped middle set), and the turn nor river would bring any help.

Peters would eliminate Harder and chip up to 245,000.  With that elimination, the field is down to 27 players, and everyone remaining is currently finding new seats.  A full table redraw will be posted once all players are settled in their new seats.

Event 14 (Day 2): Sears Now Has Towers

Level 13 (Blinds 800/1,600/200)
Players Remaining: 29
Chip Average: 87,000

Benjamin Sears
The action for what was just the largest pot of the tournament was picked up on the flop of 6 2♠ 5.  Drake Bronk had a bet of 21,300 in front of him, with the action to Benjamin Sears (Sears started the action with a check).  Sears would make the call and the two players would see the dealer put out the 2 on the turn.  Benjamin would check-call Bronk's 22,200 bet on the turn.

With the pot now close to 100,000, Sears would check one more time after the board paired again with the 6♠.  It would only take a moment before Bronk would announce himself all-in, and Sears would immediately call and turn over 6♣ 8 (rivered full house).  Drake would push his hand towards the muck, but Sears asked the dealer to expose the hand.  The floor confirmed that the player had the right to see the hand, and Drake's 8♠ 3 was turned over.  Sears all-in amount was 114,500, and with the pot he is the new chip leader (329,000).

Bronk came into the day as the chip leader, but he is now down to 42,000 after the unsuccessful bluff.

Event 14 (Day 2): First Level Down/Updated Counts

Level 13 (Blinds 800/1,600/200)
Players Remaining: 29
Chip Average: 87,000

The first level of Day 2 is now in the books, with the blinds now increasing to 800/1,600/200.  The field lost it's last lady towards the end of Level 12, as Susan Frazier was eliminated from play.  Here are some updated chip counts from the end of the level:

Drake Bronk - 248,000
Tim Little - 220,000
James Peters - 215,000
James Bucci - 165,000
Jesse Chinni - 99,000
Frank Bonacci - 90,000
Christian Harder - 60,000

Event 14 (Day 2): Little's Getting Big

Level 12 (Blinds 600/1,200/200)
Players Remaining: 31
Chip Average: 81,000

Tim Little
The action at Table 28 would be picked up on the turn, as Tim Campbell sat with a bet of 12,000 in front of him on a board reading 9 10 2 Q♠.  Tim Little was on the button and would have a raise in front of him to 37,000, which essentially covered Campbell.  Campbell did announce himself all-in, Little quickly called, and the hands were tabled:

Board: 9 10 2 Q♠

Little: K J
Campbell: 2 2♠

River: 7

Little rivering a flush was only a formality, as his straight on the turn would good enough as long as the board didn't pair.  Little would chip up to 145,000, while Campbell was eliminated from Day 2 play.

Event 14 (Day 2): Bonacci Picks One Off

Level 12 (Blinds 600/1,200/200)
Players Remaining: 33
Chip Average: 76,000

The action at Table 31 would be picked up after the river, in a hand between Eric Barber and Frank Bonacci.  The board would read Q 4♣ 5 J♣ Q, and Bonacci (in the big blind) already had checked to Barber, who was on the button.  Eric put out a bet of 19,000 (into a pot well over 35,000), and after some deliberation Bonacci would put in a call.  Barber would announce that he had ace high, and Frank would table Q♠ 10, picking up the pot and chipping up to 100,000.

Frank Bonacci - 100,000
Eric Barber - 86,000

Event 14 (Day 2): Tough Going At Table 29

Level 12 (Blinds 600/1,200/200)
Players Remaining: 36
Chip Average: 72,000

With the first elimination of the day (Scott Heiser), the field sees its first table break, and Table 29 has just gotten a little but tougher.  Two of the largest stacks coming into the day, as well as two of the most accomplished players in the field now make up the new lineup:

Table 29:
  1. Christian Harder
  2. Jesse Chinni
  3. (Empty)
  4. Ian Davis
  5. Robert Marquette
  6. Susan Frazier
  7. Drake Bronk
  8. James Peters
  9. Benjamin Sears

Event 14 (Day 2): Cards In The Air

Level 12 (Blinds 600/1,200/200)
Players Remaining: 37
Chip Average: 68,000

Tournament supervisor Jason Heidenthal has made the opening Day 2 announcement, and the cards are now in the air for Day 2.  There are a few players that have yet to taken their seats, including Christian Harder who starts the day with over (65) big blinds.

Event 14 (Day 2): Heading For Home

Players will be returning at 12:15pm this afternoon for Day 2 play of Event 14, ready to play down to a winner.  The combined field from both starting flights brings back (37) players, with both flight's chip leaders coming in one-two.  Drake Bronk's (222,200) opening number held up through both days, with James Peters (210,700) finishing at the top of yesterday's names.

The list of players coming back is full of quality and with levels transitioning to (60) minutes, the players who end up going deep will surely be earning it.  Some of the names to notice include James Bucci (168,500), Jesse Chinni (126,400), James Sloat (92,900), and Christian Harder (81,000).  Players will be returning to Level 12 and blinds of 600/1,200/200, and a chip average of 68,000.
