Joe Simmons (Philadelphia, PA)

One of the early leaders in the field is currently Joe Simmons, with just under 50,000.  Simmons (Philadelphia, PA) may not be familiar to the faces here in Maryland, but it was an Atlantic City staple for a long time.

Joe lived a poker players dream almost fifteen years ago, when he went from "grinder" to a $10,000 WPT final table at Borgata.  Simmons would have the support of what seemed to be the entire city, and would end up finishing in fourth place for $357,000.

Simmons also lived a poker players nightmare, as he made questionable financial decisions related to both poker and life.  While the experience may of been a hard one, Joe isn't shy to talk about how it shaped him as a man.  He's currently a music producer/entrepreneur, as well as a professional poker player.
