The Ripkens, Griffeys, Andersons...just some of the most well known and successful father/son combos in sports. There are actually two father/son combos in the Day 1C field, which is definitely something to note. Justin and John Liberto (pictured) are both active in the field at the moment, but this is a scenario where (in terms of poker) the father is looking up to his son. Justin has over $500,000 in career earnings, propelled by a year of poker in 2013 that many people would wish for. John may have been playing this game much longer than his son, but he has some work to do if he would like to catch up to his son (John has $10,000 in career earnings).
On the other side of the spectrum, there is also the combination of Jim Bucci and Jim Bucci Jr. currently in the tournament area. This is a case where the senior Bucci holds all of the earnings for the family in tournament poker, with over $600,000 in recorded cashes. Bucci Jr. does not have resume just yet, but is looking to make a deep run in this event and do his best to catch Dad.
